adMare supports Ukraine; Responds to Ministers Champagne and Duclos
March 11 2022
Today, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, and the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Health issued a statement on additional measures in response to Vladimir Putin’s unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine. As the ministers responsible for Canada’s scientific and health research enterprise, they expressed their deep solidarity with the people of Ukraine, including those in the scientific community. Furthermore, they rightly called for Canada’s research funding organizations, and those receiving federal funds for science and research-related activities to limit their engagements with Russia.
adMare BioInnovations fully accepts this call; and will wholeheartedly stand behind the people of the Ukraine by committing to completely restricting any potential collaborations or other endeavours that may support Vladimir Putin’s regime in any way (adMare has none currently). We will also focus on providing whatever support we can to our colleagues with family and/or other ties to Ukraine.
We applaud Ministers Champagne and Duclos and the Government of Canada for taking this stance, and the people and Government of Ukraine for their steadfast resistance to Russia’s aggression.
