More than 100 guests joined us on Tuesday, October 6, for an open house featuring the ASCEND Science Symposium and guided tours of the Montréal Innovation Centre.
The morning brought together entrepreneurs, industry leaders, international delegates and members of the life sciences community to discover the science, talent and infrastructure helping build Canada’s next generation of life sciences companies.
At the heart of the event was the ASCEND Science Symposium, where fellows from the inaugural cohort of adMare’s ASCEND postdoctoral program presented their work through scientific posters. The symposium gave attendees the chance to meet the fellows, learn about their research and explore breakthrough science up close, while sparking conversations and connections across the ecosystem. Guests also heard from one of adMare’s portfolio companies, Epitopea, whose team shared insights into their journey and the science driving their innovative approach to cancer immunotherapy.
Participants had the opportunity to take part in guided tours of the adMare Montreal Innovation Centre, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at one of Canada’s leading life sciences hubs. The tours showcased adMare’s turnkey lab, office and collaboration facilities, designed to help emerging companies scale and succeed. Attendees experienced move-in-ready biology and chemical laboratories, shared equipment and specialized services that enable researchers and entrepreneurs to focus on advancing scientific milestones and creating value.
Together, the symposium, company showcase and Innovation Centre tours highlighted adMare’s approach to creating and growing Canadian life sciences companies. By combining early-stage capital and industry expertise with talent development and the infrastructure to support it, adMare helps build a pipeline of strong, investable companies positioned for long-term success. The event offered guests a firsthand look at adMare’s company creation engine and how all these elements work together to transform breakthrough sciences into companies capable of delivering global impact.
